As any student or analyst of management & organizations can tell you, it really does all start at the top. The leader of any company sets the tone, and as we all know we’ve got one of the greatest I’ve ever come across in my 25+ years of real estate & business management – our Fearless Leader/Qualifying Broker/School President/Friend, Mr. A. Shane Mask!

I’ve told countless folks over the years that Shane is truly one of my brothers from another mother, and I am very fortunate to be able to call him a friend. It was over 20 years ago that I first met Shane when he came on board with my parents’ firm. Even then, he was a bonafide Real Estate Rock Star, and the legend just continues to grow…

What Shane has created with the AREU/ARP family is nothing short of amazing & awesome in my opinion & I am, like so many of you, so glad to be a part of it. The big thing, to me, is the feeling & sense of Family. It means so much. And, let’s face it, it’s just a great feeling being a part of the premier brokerage firm & real estate school in our part of Georgia.

Also, our organization is truly a situation where the sum is greater than the parts. It’s all of us, in a shared purpose & passion, that help to make our family what it fully is.

Behind Every Great Man…

Most all of us know Traci Mask, Shane’s wonderful wife, and once you know Traci you realize how special of a woman she really is. For starters, her influence & effect on our local community is so profound, and it covers a complete cross-section of it. Everyone knows Traci, and everyone loves her. And while the old, running joke is that Shane “married up,” or, “outkicked his coverage,” as it were, they really are such a perfect couple.

As many of you also know, the road traveled for Traci the last few years has not been the easiest one. While struggling for years w/ issues (and still ongoing) related to brain tumors, a few months ago it was revealed that Traci is fighting a new battle – breast cancer.

While Shane is our leader, broker & friend, he is Traci’s husband, and his most important role in the near future will be that as her supporter & caregiver.

And that’s where we come in – you, me, all of us – to be here to provide any & all support, love, and whatever else we can give. Keeping Traci & Shane in your prayers would be a huge help, and would be much appreciated.

With regards to American Realty Professionals & American Real Estate University, we are so fortunate to have our top-notch team to help us all traverse the waters ahead: Amelia, Kristi, Amanda & the rest of the crew. We’re very lucky.

In closing, again, I’m so excited about this new publication. Look for future editions & I’m looking forward to writing future pieces for it.

If I can ever be of service, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Your Friend,

Marshall McCart
